Shahrin has been in the UAE since 2008 when he was first seconded from SMRT Corporation (Singapore) to be the Managing Director of SMRT Engineering (Middle East).
He had the privilege to be involved in the conceptualization, construction and operations & maintenance of several of the railway systems in this region.
In 2012, he joined Dubai Government’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to support the strategic development of the Emirates’ rail network as well as oversee the operational regulations of Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram.
Shahrin holds a Masters degree from National University of Singapore and Bachelors degree from RMIT University (Melbourne).
Shahrin first joined the SBC in 2013 as the Director of Strategic Partnership.
